Problem:

Remote sensing data for FGIS LC and other GIS of Rosleskhoz are needed

Solution:

Service of automatic detection of changes on forest lands (clearcuts, burned areas, windfall, areas of forest shrinkage)

How it works:

• For each newly acquired cloud-free image, a comparison is made with the previous image.

• Notify users of all changes, which saves time spent on analyzing images or on-site visits.

• When new clearcuts are detected or boundaries of existing clearcuts are changed - automated identification for further detailed analysis.

RS data needed:

High spatial resolution data (2-10 m), providing full coverage of the entire territory of Russia with a frequency of 1 time per month
